System Settings – App-shared Add-on

Overview

In this screen, three types of dd-on files that can be referred to by multiple Apps are managed. Data that will be reused by a variety of processes can be held here and linked to various Service Tasks and Data Items. This allows the efficient use of data by removing the need for it to be duplicated for each Case that requires it.

Notes

• [System Administration] privileges are required to register or update items on this screen. If an add-on is used by only one specific app, please register it under the [Add-ons] section for that app instead of using this screen; doing so allows the app administrator—who holds [App Administration] privileges—to handle the registration and updates themselves.
• The maximum file size for registration is 20 MB per file.
• Add-ons registered on this screen are not included in exported app files. If you move an app to a different workflow platform, please register the same add-on on the destination platform as well.
• When you replace a file using the [Change] option, the previous file is not retained. As there is no way to view previously registered files, please manage file versions locally as needed.

Notes

• This is where to register XML format files storing the options that are referred to from the Select-type Data Items installed in each App on the workflow platform
• The button icons displayed on each line of the list have the following functions respectively
  • expand_all : Expands the row to display the list file size, SHA-256 signature and any additional notes
  • mode_edit_outline Change: Uploads a new file to replace the existing one
  • download_2 Download: Saves the data to your local drive
  • sell Show apps referring to this add-on: Displays a list of Apps that contain a Service Task or Data Item that references or links to this data
  • search Confirm: Displays a table showing the data list held by the file
  • close Delete: Remove the registered file
• Please check that a file has no Apps referring to it before deleting it
  • If a file is deleted from this section any Apps that refer to it will cease to function correctly as they will be unable to access the data
• You can also automatically update/register the Options XML file using “Update Choices”

• By registering the Service Task definition file (dd-on), new Service Task icons become available in designing each App on the Workflow platform
  • Add-ons can be downloaded from the page Add Automatic Processing Steps (Addon)
  • If you have programming skills, you can also create your own definition file
• The button icons follow the ones in the Choice Master, but search is not available
• If a file is deleted from the “Definition of service task” section that Service Task will become unavailable in the App Modeler, and any Apps that use it will fail once the token reaches that Step
