Intermediate Error Catch Event (Boundary Type)

The Event is added when the actions for failures of processing Tasks are set on a Human Task and other Tasks. Token is moved forcibly to the Event when processing the Task fails.

Configs: Error Handling (Human Task)
  • If there is no user corresponding to the operator setting *
    • Move task to the error list of Process Manager
    • Abort task (token will move to Error Boundary Event)
Configs: Error Handling (Auto-processing Tasks)
  • Token will move to Error Boundary Event when processing fails

Notes

  • If the “Abort task” action is selected a flow must be drawn from the Boundary Event to the next icon in the Process
  • The Intermediate Error Catch Event (Boundary Type) in a Human Task is added when there is no User to whom a Task can be assigned
  • The Intermediate Error Catch Event (Boundary Type) can be set in Auto-processing Tasks such as Box: Create Folder, and Script Task
