Changes in Functions for All Users

  • The login page (or logout page) will now be displayed when automatically logged out due to session expiration (#10822)
    • The logout notification dialog will no longer be displayed, and the login screen will be displayed directly
    • Adjusted the design of the page title (h4 / h3 / h2) (#10836)
    • Removed “SaaS Edition” from the footer (#10898)

Workflow

  • In the notification function (displayed in the upper right corner) When clicking [See All], the display will be switched within the dialog box instead of transitioning to another page (#10732)
    • Changed the internal implementation as well
  • In the header search box, the character limit for search terms has been set to 256 characters (#10783)
    • To match the subject line length limit
  • Changed the layout so that the left side menu and the main display area can be scrolled vertically independently (#10765)
    • Same behavior as the [Collab Chat] screen

Workflow Collab Chat (Process Channels)

  • The related conversations section is now displayed on the right side of the process details screen (#10745)
    • Internal implementation changes have also been made
  • Hashtags such as “#organization name” in posts now function as channel links (#10846)

Collab Chat

  • Migrated the implementation format to a single-page application (#10701)
    • To enhance security, improve UX, reduce system load by cutting HTTP requests
  • $. User information can now be displayed by clicking on the username (#10620)
    • User’s email address, affiliation, and self-introduction will be displayed
    • Self-introduction can be written in Markdown by going to [Account Settings] > [Bio.]
  • The channel name is now included in the notification emails (#10616)
    • For those updated to a new URL
    • For threads that belong to a single channel, the URL is updated, but older threads may not change
  • For attachment links in posts, conversion to page titles is no longer performed if the URL is within the same workflow platform (#10654)
    • Links attached after Ver. 17.1 are affected

Thread Search

  • Added a search function that covers all channels (#10586)
    • Threads from channels you cannot view will not appear in search results
    • Introduces two search options: cross-channel and within-channel search
  • Minor search specification changes (#10824)
    • Search phrases split by half-width spaces are treated as separate keywords
    • Full-width spaces are now also used as delimiters in search strings
    • Searches will now return results even if the keyword contains common two-character English words, such as “is, to, as, if“
    • Single-character keywords, such as “a 1,” are ignored in searches

Organization Channels

  • When trying to view an Organization channel you’re not a member of, the organization name is displayed with an “Not Authorized” error (#10730)

App Channels/Process Channels

  • Stars are now displayed in the app list and app channels (#10812)
    • Stars can be toggled on and off
    • Stars are shared with the App list in App settings and the Workflow feature
  • The App list can now be filtered by Category, App name, or Starred (#10746)
  • Changed the display priority in the App list from unread to Starred (#10756)
  • Only Starred Apps are displayed in the left side menu (#10757)
    • The menu now displays only Apps that users are interested in (Starred)
  • Improved performance of the left side menu and the Process channel list for specific Apps (#10768)
  • Supports organization mentions for organizations with granted permissions (#10821)
    • Organization mentions are now supported for organizations with Data Viewer permissions in the App
    • Excludes organizations where permissions are exclusive to Users with a specific Position

User-Created Channels

  • User-created private channels now support organization mentions for authorized organizations (#10823)
    • Organization mentions are now possible if channel members are specified by the organization
    • Excludes organizations where permissions are exclusive to Users with a specific Position
  • The user-created channel list can now be toggled between joined and not joined (#10852)
    • Only joined or not joined lists are displayed
  • Unread badges are now displayed in the User-created channel list (#10875)
    • Unread badges are now displayed in the list in addition to the left side menu
    • Unread badges are not displayed for public channels that users are not a member of

For Mobiles

  • Mobile screens also now operate as single-page applications (#10723)
    • Automatic checking for new messages will be performed
  • $. Now you can switch between all the organization channels you’re in (#10876)

    • In Version 17.0, only the main organization channel was displayed.

App Settings/List

  • Changed “Created User” to “Updated User” in the initial display column settings (default settings) (#10655)
    • This does not apply to users who have already changed the default settings (they must change them themselves)
  • (Announcement) We plan to make the App Category list visible to all users (#10887)
    • Scheduled for Ver. 18.0 (April 2026)
    • Currently, only viewable App Categories are listed
    • Please review any Category names you may have assigned that you do not want others to see

App Editing

  • Built-in automated steps such as [Data Update] and [AI Agent] now display step descriptions (#10377)
  • A message now appears if there are inapplicable settings when bulk updating data editing permission settings (#10687)
    • The message “Inapplicable settings were ignored” is displayed

Process Log

  • $. Improved performance of Process Log display (#10841)

AI Agent

  • Reading and overwriting Numeric data field values are now available (#10700)
  • Added the following models to “AI Models” (#10863)

CSV Data Update

  • It can now read values from String-type (single-line) data items (#10785)
    • Can now be used to handle single-line CSV/TSV data, or convert text to numeric data
    • (Text to numeric conversion is not supported in the [Data Update] step)
  • Added an option to automatically add an ID column to input TSV/CSV data (#10840)
    • Automatically add an ID indicating the row number of the data
    • Processing will fail if the CSV/TSV data contains an “ID” column
  • Support for saving to Numeric data items (#10698)
    • Cell values can now be saved directly to Numeric data items
    • Multiple aggregation results, such as “Max”, “Average” and “Total” can now be saved all at once
    • You can now save the first row of a String-type (multi-line) data item to “Numeric Type 1”, the second row to “Numeric Type 2”, etc.
  • Added an option to suppress column names from appearing on the first line of the output file (#10680)
    • Converting from a “headerless” table to another “headerless” table (CSV/TSV) is now possible
    • Also effective for converting between multi-line strings
  • Supports saving to String-type (multi-line) data items by column (#10699)
    • Each column can now be saved to a separate String-type (multi-line) data item, enabling applications such as updating Options Masters
  • You can now change the sort order of destination data fields in CSV cell-by-cell save settings (#10558)

Google

  • Changed specifications and internal implementations in the following automated processing steps

        • Removed: gemini-1.0-pro / gemini-1.5-pro / gemini-1.5-flash

Authorization

  • Reorganized the left side menu [Authorization] (#10614)
    • [System-wide ]: System Administrator, User Manager
    • [Workflow]: App Creator, App Authorization
    • [Collab Chat]: Channel Creators, Channel Administrators
  • In the App list of App Authorization, the initial display column setting (default setting) changed from “Created User” to “Updated User” (#10655)
    • This does not apply to users who have already changed the default settings (they must change them themselves)
    • (Same changes as the App list in App settings)

Login

  • Implemented a mechanism to detect suspicious logins (#10445)
    • Password logins, etc. from a device or browser that has never been used before are considered suspicious logins
      • (After updating to Ver. 17.1) The first login will be considered legitimate
      • Login with Google Account/Single Sign-On is always considered legitimate
  • Added an option to require additional authentication when logging in with a password from a new device (browser) (#10837)
    • If a login from a new device is detected, the following behavior will occur depending on the option:
      • Additional authentication option enabled: a notification email will be sent to the user, and additional authentication will be requested
        • The one-time password required for additional authentication will be included in the notification email
        • If the “Unable to receive emails” is checked in the User’s profile, additional authentication will not be requested
      • Additional authentication option disabled: Login is successful and the user is notified by email that a login has been made from a new device

Logo

  • Logo updates are now reflected immediately (#10900)

Workflow

  • (Notice) The URL auto-linking feature in text, bulletin board, and table data items will be updated to only recognize HTTP/HTTPS links (#11102)
    • This change will be implemented in version 17.2 (December 2025)
    • Currently: The system automatically links URLs with schemes beyond http:// and https:// (e.g., file:///)
    • Future: Only URLs beginning with http:// or https:// will be automatically linked
  • Enhanced performance for CSV downloads when searching processes and tasks (#11075)
  • Streamlined the CSS used for print-screen functionality within the process details and print views (#11070)
    • We have unified the line break specifications and styling for data item names and values across both the process detail and print views
  • Fixed the following bugs:
    • Corrected an error page layout issue that occurred when attempting these actions during task processing (#11079)
      • Trying to accept a task that is no longer available for acceptance
      • Trying to withdraw acceptance of a task that is no longer eligible for withdrawal
    • The bottom portion of Table-type data items or workflow diagrams could be cut off in printing screen when printing from the process details (#11099)

Changes for Workflow Designers

  • (Notice) The input and display specifications in the business manual will be changed to be the same as those for [String-type (Markdown)] (#11159)
    • This change is scheduled for Ver. 18.0 (April 2026)
    • In addition to the specifications of [String-type (Markdown)] Ver. 17.1, the details and summary tags will be available from Ver. 17.2.

  • Improved performance when deleting user accounts (#11062)
    • Changed to not delete unread messages in Collab Chat synchronously
    • Unread chat messages will be automatically deleted after 60 days

Workflow

  • Improved header display (#11180)
    • Fixed an issue where, when the window width was narrow, the Process search box and the Log out button moved to a lower row
  • Adjusted the design of the Page for Printing on the Process Details screen (#11226)
    • Removed the vertical line displayed to the left of item names
    • Fixed an issue in Firefox where lines disappeared across page breaks when Print backgrounds was enabled
  • Fixed the following bugs
    • In [Copy Data from Other Processes] > [Select a process that you will copy data from] on the Task Operating screen, the Copy button disappeared when the [Token Current Position] filter was selected (#11236)
    • Tasks that are forcibly assigned to another user due to user deletion are not processed at the deadline (#11253)
    • In the [Start] screen, duplicate rows for the same combination of App and Step may be displayed (#11243)
      • Occurs when a new app version is released at the same time as changes to user affiliation information
    • On the [Page for Printing] in the Process Details screen, the layout may break when using a two-column or four-column layout (#11210)
    • When debugging only auto steps, Profiles were not displayed on the Process Details screen (#11139)
      • Profiles are displayed correctly in Debug Processes that target all steps
    • When a user without permission accessed the Data Edit screen, the response code was 500 (Internal Server Error) instead of 403 (Forbidden) (#11140)

Collab Chat

  • Fixed the following bugs:
    • In the Process Channel list, the unread indicator may not be displayed even when there are unread messages (#11202)
      • Occurred when the unread status was cleared once and then new messages were posted by another user
    • The right side of the [Post] button and related UI elements may be clipped (#11222)
    • In cross-channel searches, certain search keywords could result in a 500 (Internal Server Error) response (#11228)

Mobile Screens

  • Fixed the following bugs
    • On the Process Details screen, String-type sub-items within Table-type data items could overlap with other sub-item areas (#11141)
    • On the Process Details screen, values might not fit within the display area when Table-type data items had long sub-item names (#11153)
    • In [Copy Data from Other Processes] > [Select a process that you will copy data from] on the Task Processing screen, clicking the search button navigated to the PC version of the Process Details screen (#11227)

Changes in Functions for Workflow Designers

App Creation

  • Fixed the following bugs:
    • When repeatedly using [Copy as New App], if the app name exceeded 64 characters, the app could not be deleted (#11166)
      • When duplicating an app would result in a name longer than 64 characters, the app is now created with the name truncated at the end
      • If an existing app name already exceeds 64 characters, it is not automatically truncated
        • Apps cannot be deleted while their names exceed 64 characters
        • Please change the app name to 64 characters or less before deleting it
    • Some setting error messages and setting labels are incorrect (#11215)

Automatic processing Steps that cooperate with other cloud services/processing data

  • Changed specifications and internal implementations in the following automated processing steps
    • [Google Drive: Upload File]
      • When files are converted to Google Slides or similar formats, it is no longer possible to configure [Data item to store download URL] (#11248)
        • This change reflects the fact that Google Docs / Sheets / Slides do not have a concept of directly downloading the original file itself
          • Converting to PDF or other formats is handled by a separate feature
        • The labels of related configuration items have also been revised
  • Fixed the following bug:
    • In the [CSV Data Update], the AS clause in SQL statements was not reflected in the header of the output CSV/TSV file (#11247)

Plans for Future Changes

We are planning to alter the following specifications and system platform in future versions.

Schedule for Version 17.2 (December 2025)

  • The URL auto-linking feature in text, bulletin board, and table data items will be updated to only recognize HTTP/HTTPS links
    • Currently: The system automatically links URLs with schemes beyond http:// and https:// (e.g., file:///)
    • Future: Only URLs beginning with http:// or https:// will be automatically linked

Schedule for Version 18.0 (April 2026)

  • The App Category list will be changed so that all Users can view it
    • Please review any Category names you may have assigned that you do not want others to see
  • The following methods related to HTTP authentication settings in Script Task/Service Tasks (Add-on) scripts will be discontinued
    • A warning message will be output to the Process Log when a deprecated API is executed
    • You can check the target App or Process by searching for “Only logs with warnings” in [Process Log]
    • Subject
      • httpClient.getOAuth2Token(String settingName)
      • httpClient.begin().authSetting(String settingName)
  • In [Message Start Event]/[Catching Message Start Event (HTTP)], old-style reception parameters including data definition numbers (data[XX].input, etc.) will be discontinued
    • A warning message is now output to the Process log when old format reception parameters are used
    • Please change the HTTP sender to specify parameters using field names
  • In the Membership API of Questetra REST API, the request parameter role and the role property included in the response will be discontinued
  • In the Questetra REST API, the API for Task processing (/API/PE/Workitem/Form/save) will be discontinued
    • Please use the new Task processing API (/API/PE/Workitem/{workitemId}/Form/save) added in Version 15.2
  • Script tags, style tags, and scripts in the Work Manual will stop functioning

Schedule for Version 19.0 (April 2027)

  • The following URL format used in the [Catching Message Intermediate Event (HTTP)] will be discontinued
    • /System/Event/IntermediateMessage/{APP ID}/{NODE NUMBER}/receive
    • Please use the [Receive Task (HTTP)] URL of the following format
      • /System/ReceiveTask/HttpPost/{APP ID}/{NODE NUMBER}/receive
    • If you use [IP Address Filtering], you must change the settings due to the URL change.
